Quizzes are fun
Quizzes are simply enjoyable. We all know that when learning is lovely, we learn more effectively. You can take fun quizzes about your favourite topics to know you’re still the best at your game. It makes you feel better, doesn’t it? The competitive nature of quiz games fosters an unbreakable spirit in the participants. One key characteristic distinguishing winners from the rest is playing to win and giving their all. People who play quiz games regularly are sharper and more alert in such situations.
Playing quiz games frequently improves your information retention, decisiveness, and analytical skills. When players have a solid ability to retain information, their ability to answer a wide range of questions improves. A higher level of decisiveness reduces mulling and overthinking, allowing players to react faster. All that, and in addition you enjoy company and friends!
Our Quiz Group takes place the third Tuesday of every month (apart from December) and we meet at the Foxhills Bowls Club, Wendover Road. Various members of the group compile a list of 20 general knowledge questions, which they read out to the other members. We have a tea break during which each table is handed a picture quiz or a themed list of questions.
There are 20+ members who come along and we are a very friendly group. You don’t have to be brainy, just come along for a few laughs. Where else can you spend a couple of hours exercising the old grey matter, in good company and with a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits – all for the sum of £2.00!!
The next Quiz is on Tuesday 19th November at Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club, starting at 2.00 pm (including tea/coffee and biscuits). Cost £2 per person. All members are welcome.
Quiz is always on the third Tuesday in the month, apart from December when we do not meet – have a lovely Christmas!
